One of the most modern turbines for Struth – The Vestas V 172
The construction and operation of four Vestas V 172 wind turbines is planned at the Struth site. The nominal output per turbine is 7.2 MW and will produce an annual amount of electricity of 19,300,000 kWh per wind turbine at the site. The Vestas V172-7.2 MW is one of the most modern wind turbines designed for locations with low to medium wind speeds.
The project has been in the approval process since 2024. The application for the first four plants was submitted in September.
They will save around 59,000 tons of CO₂ per year and supply 51,000 people with clean electricity.
