Beiersdorf-Freudenberg wind farm – repowering

In Beiersdorf-Freudenberg in the Märkisch Oderland district, we plan to replace 16 existing wind turbines with 14 new ones.

Electricity for 133,000 people

In the municipality of Beiersdorf-Freudenberg, we are planning the modernization and expansion of an existing wind farm together with a cooperation partner. In the process, 14 older Vestas V80 wind turbines (2.0 MW each) and 2 older Vestas V90 turbines (2.0 MW each) are to be replaced by 14 more powerful turbines of the latest generation:

  • 10 Nordex N163 turbines with a capacity of 7.0 MW each
  • 4 Nordex N149 turbines with a capacity of 5.7 MW each

The so-called repowering process can significantly increase the energy yield.
The new plants are expected to generate around 14.5 million kWh of electricity per year per plant – enough to supply thousands of households with climate-friendly energy.

The site is located in an existing wind farm with 25 turbines currently in operation. Other projects are already in the approval process or have already been approved.

They will save around 154,000 tons of CO₂ per year and supply 133,000 people with clean electricity.
