What for the country and its people

We focus on the people and regions in which we work. Since 1997, we have been developing wind and solar projects as well as energy storage and repowering solutions. Our goal is always to find the best solution for people, the environment, and the community.

We see the energy transition as a joint task: locally anchored, transparently designed, and implemented in partnership. Thanks to our regional presence in northern, eastern, southern, and western Germany, we understand local needs and combine them with over 25 years of experience and a strong network of partners.

Creating something together

We know that without the trust of the local community, no wind turbine, solar park, or storage facility can be successful in the long term. That is why we attach great importance to early, transparent, and personal communication. Not just on paper, but live and on site.

Whether at local council, citizens’ or city council meetings, city festivals or other events: We are present, take concerns seriously, answer questions honestly and look for solutions together.

We focus on genuine participation and open exchange. In addition to financial participation opportunities, we create space for dialog in order to develop the ideal concept for our joint project together. This means that people’s expectations and concerns flow directly into our projects.

Our goal: jointly developed projects that benefit everyone.

We like to involve regional companies and service providers in our projects in order to keep added value in the region.

We listen and act. Our work does not begin with the construction of a system, but with a discussion on site. We believe that mutual trust is the key to success. By respecting regional needs and seizing opportunities together, we create acceptance and advance the energy transition.

What we implement

The wind and solar parks implemented together with our partners produce 1,400,000 MWh of clean electricity, supplying over 900,000 people with clean electricity and saving more than 1 million tons of climate-damaging carbon dioxide every year.

* SAXOVENT was involved in the development of these projects at various stages, including the operation of the plants as an IPP (Independent Power Producer).

The expected energy generation from plants developed by SAXOVENT is estimated based on their installed nominal capacity and an average number of full-load hours, regardless of SAXOVENT’s ownership share. The average household electricity consumption per person was 1,524 kWh in 2023 (Eurostat, as of January 2026).

The potential greenhouse gas emissions avoided are calculated from the amount of electricity generated and the so-called “net avoidance factor.” This indicates how much CO2 equivalents—taking into account the upstream chain—are avoided by wind energy per kilowatt hour generated. The calculation is based on the report “Emissions balance of renewable energy sources. Determination of avoided emissions in 2023” published by the Federal Environment Agency, according to which the net avoidance factor for onshore wind energy is 758 g CO2 eq/kWh.
